U11's take on Watford
A lovely playing surfaced welcomed Crystal Palace to Watford London Colney training ground. Both sides settled quickly into their style of play with both teams playing attractive football from the back creating chances at both ends. The first period finished 0 - 0
The second period started in the same fashion with Crystal Palace playing quick intricate football from the back through midfield creating chances which were unfortunately not taken. The period fished 1- 0 to Watford with the Crystal Palace defence getting caught out at a corner, with the ball be played to the far post where a well taken header by the Watford centre forward opened the scoring.
Crystal Palace started the third period at a quicker tempo pressing well all over the pitch but occasionally switching off at the back allowing Watford to be a constant threat. On the counter attack Crystal Palace got themselves back in the game with a clever through ball by Janiah Boyd to Victor Fundi who keeps up his impressive scoring record with a clever finish by sliding the ball down the outside of the keeper into the bottom corner. This goal seemed to stir Watford as they finished the period strongly creating good chances and taking two of them. The period finished 3-1 to Watford FC.
The final period Crystal Palace confidence seemed to knocked with players be sloppy in possession which allowed Watford to again create chances which they took confidently finishing the period 3 - 0 winners.
